Default Tire ****

That what I call them, anyway I read alot about guys leaning into turns, and there exhaust pipes and jiffy stand draging, looking at my tires and all the **** are still intact, do most of you guys have them worn off?

Forgot I only have 2k miles on the bike.

Sorry if this is a useless post lol.

I have 1900 miles on my bike and they are still there.

I refuse to push my bike to its limits. That's not why I bought it. If that's what I wanted out of it, I would have bought another sport bike.

Have fun with what you have and be careful!

I just noticed yesterday, my current set of tires still has **** and that kinda surprised me. These tires only have about 1,800 miles and I guess I've done a lot more than usual just straight line riding on them. The **** on the original tires were LONG gone when I replaced them at 16,000 miles.

Since this thread came up yesterday, whileriding today, I glaced down at the tires. On the Metzeler tires, before I wear off all of the tire ****...the lean angle sensor will shut down the bike. And I'll be draging a heck of a lot more than pipes, footpegs, etc.

Mine were long gone after 800 miles. Except for the ones just above the rims. I think the bike would have to drag down the highway on its side for a while to get those off. Being able to lean the bike over and drag hard parts is not riding too aggresively, it's just something that happens when riding a cruiser. I do not like to purposely lean the bike and drag parts, but sometimes you will need to when an obstacle comes up. It may be the difference between saying a few f-bombs or taking a trip in the meat wagon.
