Fuel Reserve Light Will not go off
Hi everyone! Greetings from Argentina, I have a 2007 inyected 1200 Custom Sportster, and reserve light indicator is always on, no matter if tank is full or empty. Once you turn engine on and start riding, within 5 meters light will go on and never turn off. I ve already changed in-tank fuel level sensor, that was what I first thought to be the problem, but that was not a solution. Anyone had a similar problem and could fix it ? I will appreciate you comments. Thanks!

As a matter of fact it has. I drove 50 miles to the Harley dealership to have my rear tire replaced about half way my low fuel light came on, in a panic I located a gas station only to find my gas tank was over half full. Upon arrival to the dealership I was told my foot pedal brake light wasn't working which is funny because it worked fine when I left the house. I'm thinking the notorious fuse box may be the problem.

Do you have any DTCs? Diagnostic Trouble Codes (you can have codes without the the check engine light on) A code for the fuel level sensor will not effect emissions so it would not light the check engine light.
At the top of this forum there is a stick thread-

You could have a short to ground or a bad fuel sender resistor assembly (Under the seat on XL Models), you may have DTC B1004 or B1005. Could also be the tach(XR Models) or Speedo
