These are stupid money, as you have to also get the foot pegs themselves, but they for perfectly, and look great. https://www.harley-davidson.com/stor...eg-support-kit . I bought at dealership and they had them sandblasted for me to get all the chrome off, and I painted them with John Deere Blitz Black rattle can. I just saw them on Craigslist for $40, with pegs. UGH.

I put the chrome adjustable highway peg kit on my xl1200T last year. HD p/n 49053-04A. I found that the shorter left unit was a problem, even with mid-controls. I extended it with a stainless steel sleeve and washers. Why they make the left shorter is beyond me. They are now about the same length and work better.

Do I have any options or do I need to buy a crash bar?
Thanks!
Here is what I did. Works great for me.

You could just add Accutronix 6 inch extended forwards as I did. Great for stretching out. I have 30 inch inseam, 5'9" tall and the Accutronix let me stretch out almost straight-legged. You can see the peg is now in front of the exhaust instead of behind it. Awesome product, for me anyway. Pic is for demo, I never ride with sandals. My favorite mod along with the heel and toe shifter in second pic. I added the mid-pegs so I could stand up occasionally on long rides. They also stop you from burning your leg on the pipes when leg is down.

Here's a link for them

Ignore the 04-13 if you have newer bike, mine's a 2016 48. Call them and they'll set you right.
