Default Stripped bolt

So i stripped the heck out the star pin bolts that hold the clutch cover in . Tried to cut a knotch with a dremel blade so i could get a flat head screw driver in . But it was already too damaged any other way to get this bolt out?

If it's for the derby cover, the metal is weak......just drill the head off....and then replace all of them with allen bolts.

You need to drill the head off to remove the cover and then hope you can crap the tip of the srcew with vice crips or pliers to turn it out. If that dozen work its easy out time

use the dremel to grind the head off, take the cover off and you’ll be left with a little bit of screw that you can then retry to cut a notch in or a good vice grip to grab and twist it out. Put some type of penetrating lube before and let it soak a lil bit.

Cool

The only thing wrong with Torx screws is cheap tools. I learned that the hard way, but proper good quality brand bits are fine. When I first encountered Jap bikes, back in the 1960s, the only way to get screws out was with an electric drill!

Common problem unfortunately
I use a hand held impact after giving it a firm smack with a hammer with the torx installed. Heating it up to loosen the loctight is a good idea and I now do this as a matter of course the first time. Not helpful now however...........

IIRC this is a 27 torx, and not included in most sets. 25 is close enough to strip the head as you may have discovered. I learned this the usual way
As Mr Brown says cheap tools will only **** you off

The best approach now is to get an impact bolt removal socket and give it a go after heating the bolt and praying. Worked for me yesterday
Failing that get out your drill but I hope you are better than me, or go buy a heilcoil kit now.
