where do I find a switched power wire on a 2012 Harley 48?

 

Two out of three wires from the ignition switch? Not the red one, of course.

On my bike (FLHR) the orange wires with a white stripe is switched, then find a ground....

 

If it's anything like my '13 Dyna, there is an extra switched plug under the seat, attached to the frame with a block plug to keep anything from getting in and shorting the connection. You would just have to make sure that whatever you want to plug in has that opposite connector on the end of it, or cut and splice it in.
