Hey Handirifle,

They are not HD brand they are La Rosa Designs. I kind of did like you mentioned, figured I try them and see if I liked them and so far they have worked great. Right now I do not have anything on them to protect the paint but I have been keeping an eye on the finish to see if I start getting any issues, so far so good. La Rosa told me that I wouldn't need anything but I took that with a grain of salt.

I like that I can change my Sporty from looking like a retro bobber to a mini Heritage Classic by throwing on sissybar, messenger bag, 2-up seat and windshield.

That is the Virginia state inspection. I had the standard passenger pegs on it but the wife asked me to put the HD mini floorboards on for her. I wasn't crazy about the look but I like her to ride with me soooo

Wow so much for asthetics, with a sticker that huge. Actually think the pegs look kinda cool. Goes with the bagger theme.

Do you have a frame under the bags to keep them off the shocks and other moving parts?

Ok I just bought some HD bags off ebay https://www.ebay.com/itm/Harley-Davi...-/113343365537
So when they arrive I will build a bracket to hold them away from the shocks and other moving parts.

IDK, these are pretty cheap (~$40). Would probably be alot easier than making your own...

I wonder if those will work with my QD mounts on the bike?

Ok you twisted my arm. Ordered the bracket too. Looked at it pretty close and looks like worst case, I might have to get longer bolts to feed through the bracket, AND the QD mount.

I am going to look at building a rear trunk mount. Those are over $100 I believe. But those areusually chromed too, which I would not be able to do myself.

Seems that worse case is you'll have to bend/twist the bracket somewhat to fit it to the upper shock bolt if
the bracket is installed on the outside of the QD mount....

good luck & let us know how it turns out.
