Installed the HD luggage rack on my 1200T today. It provides a rack upon which to strap-down small items, like a small ice chest for a day's ride or an overnight bag. Plus, it provides an excellent handhold in the event of a tip over. I am really impressed with how sturdy and well made it is. I don't like the saddlebags for everyday use, but if I put on the saddlebags and the luggage rack, I will have the room for everything I need for trip of a week or more. If the motels have a washer & dryer, who knows how long I could be gone.

I used those and it is made well. Quick-release mounts make it easy on easy off. I still rather use my saddlebags but you definitely can use both for long trips. Looks good.
