2019 Sporty 1200NS Iron. Anyone have any experience with eBay luggage racks? I've been eyeballing the Harley one and checked eBay before ordering it and the eBay one is less than $20, the Harley part is $189. Not trying to cheap out, but, I mean isn't it just metal tubing?

I've got one of these . It came with the bike so one would assume that it would fit ok but no . The wide plate at the front end is at the wrong angle and won't lie flat . Consequently the rack is not stable . Anyway I don't particularly like the fact that these racks place a lot of strain on two holes in a sheet steel fender. I'm gonna have to get all my camping gear into two panniers .
I'm sure you're aware of this but the HD one mounts to the rear frame extensions rather than the fender so it can carry more weight without damaging the bike. It also sits a bit higher so it's much easier to bungee stuff to it.

Well ****, I was not aware of that actually. That's a difference maker for me because I'm really only looking to travel with one bag 99% of the time. Thanks, I guess Harley get the big bucks after all! lol
