I am not sure what kind of complex you have, but attempting to REPEATEDLY bash guys with baggers and larger engines on this site is just pathetic.

Post pictures of your machine, talk about it, and join in! Stop making threads to start ****, and defend your *** DELETED ***

I'd call that a direct hit .

I now have bad knees and have had them replaced, but ever once and a while. my knee will go out without warning. I was afraid I would drop my bike if that happened. I sold all of them but after a couple of years, I really missed riding. I bought a 48 sportster, only about 550 lbs. After riding large bikes for over 30 years, I never thought I would ride a sportster but I really like it. It doesn't ride quite as smooth but I'm able to ride it without fear of my knee going out and dropping it. If my knee goes out, I can straight arm it and keep it up AND I'm still riding! Why does someone think their bike is better than someone else? I hope everyone is young and is strong and great shape, but it won't always be like that. I'm just as proud and happy to be on my 48 as I was on my bigger harleys. You should be happy that you have a bike and are able to ride it. I am and I also wear pink shirts.
How true, my knee is also bad but i have not had it replaced, same issue, I went with a Trike and also have a Sportster. Riding any motorcycle is good no need to bash others.

Where did you come up with that one? Guess you just pulled it out of your butt. Request references for the common mindset. The folks giving you a hard time also have Sportsters and you are not really paying attention, just figuring out what drivel you are going to spew next.

Good luck there Sportster Boy, have fun in your mind that you are the best and that your imaginary motorcycle has girls looking at you.

I bought my 2013 1200XLC used for:
1.size
2.cost
3.maintainace
4.looks
5.tubeless tires
6. Already had bags, shield, engine guard, seat, backrest, luggage rack stage one and grips

It was a no brainier. And I ride all day long with full size tourers

I don't know, maybe Mark Winchester should consider a Honda Rebel since he likes small, nimble bikes so much. I've heard if you swap the sprockets they'll actually do 75 MPH.

While I am here..... I would like to add my 2 cents to the O.P.

I ride a bagger for several reasons....
1. I travel a LOT. So the saddle bags and trunk are important.
2. When home, I ride daily averaging 6 stops. So the trunk is GREAT!!!!
3. The comfortable ride, especially on the highway.
4. The radio and speakers (the stock one now) is REALLY MUCH BETTER than the older ones.

And that is abt it.

My favorite is the Heritage Special, but still, I will the baggers smooth comfort on the highway.

Likely a few other things too but that is all that comes to mind at the moment.

I had an '09 Rebel, fun little bike to thrash around. I bought it when gas was over $4/gallon just to ride to work to save gas. Hell I ended up riding it everywhere, even rode it over to Illinois once and it got almost 80 mpg doing it. Stock it would do right at 80mph, I swapped a 15 tooth front sprocket for the stock 14 tooth to lower the rpm some, best it would do after that was 74 mph. The thing just purred at 7,000-8,000 rpm, about as bullet proof as they come...
