No. Metrics have caps to remove. Harley had a different idea.

Always wondered if they have always been that way or somewhere along the line, the bean counter saved a few dollars
Depends on how you treat it, after that first check, I doubt it ever changes. My clutch and primary settings are the same after 50,000 miles . Now if you beat it, no telling.

Add a signature line for your bike, year and all the letters to your user. And welcome from Hampton Roads Virginia.

You are close. Think you also have some letters. See my FXSTDI. Think you have something like ...XL883NIRON (LE)

By turning the engine and checking the tension on the chain you are looking for the tightest spot. Clearly the MoCo is telling you there is runout in both shafts plus some out of round in the sprockets the chain runs on.

You can guess and set the tension to somewhere between 3/8 and 1/2 and hope for the best or you can do it as stated.

Does not a Sporty go by backoff on both clutch and chain tension? I alway set to minimum of tolerance at tightest spot. Loose side hurts nothing.

Sprocket are some of it but chains wear uneven if you flog them.

Thanks guys
I read somewhere you can use the starter....
But I think I'll wait to source or improvise a stand so I can turn the wheel to turn engine
