Out here in Singapore, it's simply "Harley Davidson" or "Harley". That gets (a very positive) recognition from 99.99% of the population. If then asked what model, I'll tell them a Sportster 1200.
If the person didn't know what bike a Sportster was, then they probaly wouldn't recognize that you had a Harley evenif you said you had a V-Rod or a Dyna.
So just say you ride a Harley Davidson Sportster if you dont know or don't think the person isn't familar with HD bikes.
I had some dork give me some crap saying a Sportster was a wussy beginner bike....I asked him what he rode, he said he didn't own a bike...I told him he was a tool and his Ford Escort was a wussy beginner car.
Don't even own a bike yet can tell me his opinion on my bike, that rich!
I agree, someone who doesnt ride has no right commenting on your scoot.
remember, there are those who ride harleys and those who wish the did.
Keep the rubber side down and the wind in your face.
