Default Lack of fuel

ok so i took my 2005 883L to the dealership for my 1,000 mile inspection. they noticed that i had a recall for my bike year that had not been fixed by the previous owner. the recall has to deal with the petcock on the carbueretor. something how the switch is all wrong and on really means off, its confusing. anyway they acciedentally pulled off a fuel hose which was vaccum sealed from my understanding. anyway i found the problem and put the hose back in. but i can tell its getting a lack of fuel. when its all warmed up and the choke is all the way in it almost wants to die on me, it sounds and feels horrible. but it wont die it just gets close. i have to run with the choke all the way out. the dealer said they will fix it which i beleive they will. i was just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem. and is it because of the vaccum with the gas tank was broken? thanks

Default RE: Lack of fuel

The petcock does require a vacuum to operate. Since the dealer just did the recall service and you now have this problem, I would take the bike back and get them to resolve the issue. Other than that make sure both ends of the vacuum line that run to the petcock aren't leaking.
