This is my plan, next weekend , Go on a 2,500 Km road trip .
At each petrol refill use my adjustable fork caps.
Add half a turn .
See what happens.
Also if Trackerdie and DK can work together , they have the whole market
south of Texas . Latin America is loaded with speed bumps everywhere.
Common sense needs to rule.

Like Baja California, the "topes" are brutal and often unmarked. And then you have the equally brutal potholes. Dios Mios!

Is DK now the main distributor for Ricor Intiminators? The Ricor website seems to have disappeared. They were based up in Big Bear City, which is a mountain/ski resort town east of Los Angeles, not a bad place for a corporate office.

I don't know anything about distributor angle, here in Colombia when you see trees near the road
get ready for some seri8ously bad road conditions. The tree roots are under the road .
The worst is when you get caught in channels , the trucks have made such huge channels, no base
on the road . I got caught in one and it was at least 1 foot high. I could not get out , had to go at 5 mph for about 20 minutes.
Near me the main road has been damaged by buses, only about 3 inches. But at night and in the rain it is deadly.
Been like that for 6 years. This why I am trying the intiminators , i want the road contact.
Hopefully with the 5w oil, it will react faster.

Good luck with your project. I can only imagine how rough some roads you encounter are. There are tree root infested roads in our local mountains, Some jarring bumps, and when it's shady you cannot see them for you life. And, somehow potholes only hide in the shade, not sure how that happens.

Yes , I bought the 5W Maxima fork oil .
I am agreeing with you on the fork oil level of 14 fluid ounces. The mechanic is following the DK video.
Until I get this correctly setup , I would wait .
That is great that he is watching the video...he should also read the instructions that came with it. Both say the same thing....the video says it at the 6:21 mark-

"The amount of fork fluid is different for each model. Check your manual to see how many ounces is right for your bike".

On the bike in the video, 11 ounces was right.

That said, using the non-stock damper rods may change what is "right".

Once you get it dialed in, I believe you will be well pleased with the improved ride quality. Thank you for your business.

Thanks to DK and John ,
Have 14 fluid ounces in it now . That is definitely better.
I would love one of those airgap devices.( Looking on Amazon )
I have 20 mm of variable cap movement .
So I will be trying out all the different settings on my road trip.
I just went with the full 20 mm extension, quick ride , Interesting , tomorrow is going through the channel sections
and loads of speed bumps , but it is handling the speed bumps a lot better in my quick test.

Re John, I think the trees in your area are related to the trees here.
Yes the potholes love to hide in the shade.

I have the Ricor Intiminators (sold by DK) and the 'R' model damper tubes. Works great for me.
Here's some pics of the difference between 'stock' Iron and 'R' tube install and the new longer gaiters
needed to match....

I like it, it added 2 inches and then used the springs from progressive. Also used 13.5 shocks from an R.
I like the height and the lean angle....

Go for it
