Clutch issue ???

Default Clutch issue ???

2002 883 hugger , ok picked a lowmilage 2002 883 hugger , had a issue when bought it with clutch , so i had a new clutch put in it , rode it for a maybe 200 miles same issue has returned , so its like the cable is binding up ,like the releasing assembly is in a bind and not working , so im wondering if anybody else has had this issue and what it could poss. Be , was planning on replacing the entire release assembly and the clutch cable , but just wanted to get imput on this , i have never had this issue before.

Did you replace your release bearing? There is an upgraded, angular contact bearing, that is a common replacement. I forget the number, 2500B or something like that. Sounds like that could be an issue, but lube the cable and check the ball and ramp assembly too. Those are basically the three parts involved.

I was asking about mine being extremely hard to pull and someone here suggested I lube the cable. I did and that cured my problems so I would follow Harpers advice first.

cable is old and i lubed it when i put new clutch in , main reason why i was gonna replace the hole assembly was to elim. The prob. All together , but will check ball and ramp ***. Soon as i get a chance

gonna put on back burner all parts i want to change are currently out of stock from vender and shop i normally used gonna focus on getting my 99 back and the 96 finished first
