Hi, does anyone knows what this part is for? It look weird and doesn't seem to have a purpose on the bike.

If it's the L shaped part with three open holes, that looks like it's part of a shock lowering kit.

That is a shock lowering block but it is in the stock position so you are correct it is not doing anything except acting as the wheel adjuster.

Thanks, I can just remove it or do I need a spacer to replace it? Im changing the rear tire this week might as well take that out as well. By the way its only on one side wouldnt it need both sides to lower the bike?

Remove it. I'm not sure those shocks bolts are original, so when you reattach the shock on each side, be sure the bolt doesn't sitck too far out on the inside or rub on anything.

There is usually a spacer. You want the shock straight up and down/parallel to the bike.

Or, look for a spacer at the upper shock mount and remove it as well as the lowering block. The shock needs to be square to it's mounts. Check that lower bolt for proper length as well.

I’d gather up all the stock parts then go back to stock and get rid of the lowering block.
