yes -- it is done all the time ! with a complete kit with jugs and pistons or have your jugs bored and fitted with 1200 pistons. I like the wiseco pistons "cause they match the 883 piston weight and less vibration. If u r able to do it yourself , is an easy way to bump power by 35% -- pretty easy if you have tools and are mechanically inclined. With 883 gearing, it is a monster !!! go to 27 front pully to tame it a bit. Also , the 1200 ign. mod. or SE adjustable ign. will be a good investment to get the most from it.

yep you can do it cheap and that is what you are going to get . you will have a 1200 with 883 heads and cams . there will be some improvement but nothing spectacular. to get the full benefit you will need heads or head work , cams and ignition moduale. also unless you plan on doing wheelies all the time first gear will be useless. I dont mean to sound harsh or poke holes in some peoples ballon but that is the truth .
a motor is only as effecient as its weakest link and if you go to a 1200cc bore with 883 heads that will be the choke point. you can make a real screamer out of the 883 but plan to spend more than the 500.00 figure quoted on here all the time.
