Default Stainless replica headers?

Having recently done some work on my exhaust, I found te hheaders and the inside of hte heat shields to be a bit...er...grotty. Especially the front, which catches all the road crud.

What I would like to do is replace the headers on my 2008 Sporty with stainless. Copies of the stock units, but in stainless so they won't rot and ones I could run with no heat shield. Discolouration is not a big issue, which I know is the reason for using seperate chrome heatshields.
Replaced the jubillee clips on the front heat shield twice already due to corrosion. Also had to replace snap rings and studs/nuts for the same reason.
Hazard of using the bike all year round *** actual transport I guess.

Oh..yeah...needs to be available in the UK.

I would investigate the 14 up headers for fitment as they are stainless. I've picked them up new on eBay for a lot lower than some want for used.

Had no idea they were stainless, think I’ve got a set in the attic. They will have the small o2 bungs, drilling and tapping is possible but not fun.

In the UK the headers on 2014 and up I think also have catalytic converters in them.

There's a set on eBay right now for $135 with black heat sheids and the O2 sensors installed. I've seen complete sets including the cat mufflers recently for $200. Those late cat mufflers are good for at least 95 hp 95 tq. I personally like how they sound also.

The smaller 12mm O2 sensors are 4 wire and not compatible with the 07 to 13 Sportsters that have 18mm 2 wire sensors.

Damn! Can you get the two wire sensors in a 12 mm? I'll need to see if there's enough diameter to drill them out.

I know the fittings can be bought and welded on as I had some pipes custom made.

Unfortunately not enough material behind the threads to drill out and tap to 18mm. However it could be cut out and a new 18mm bung welded in, there's enough room for that. Would the 12mm work without the two heating wires attached?

Electrical isn't my forte so I don't know for sure, but sounds reasonable to me.
