Drag Specialties touring seat....?
Anyone here try this seat out yet or have one to comment on?

This one is 12.5" front section and 10" rear or they make a larger 14.5" front/12" rear both in leather and made for Drag by Danny Gray.
I'm contemplating another 2-up seat as I'm not sold on the Sundowner's comfort and the wife thinks its okay, really just don't like the looks of it to be honest. The Mustang vintage setup I had was nicer but at the time they did not have the large pillion and the Mrs. found the 8" too narrow and uncomfortable to ride even round town.

RE: Drag Specialties touring seat....?
I have the Drag Specialties Low Profile Touring seat. Put about 2,000 miles on it, really like it for <1hr rides.
Pros:
It sits more like a saddle, with very good lower back suppt, but very firm. No flat spots & gives a very definite riding position when accelerating or turning, just perfectly fits my a$$- unlike the Mustang Vintage which is just a flat seat with some padding
Looks great on the Sportster (I don't like the looks of the Sundowner either.)
Much wider and thicker pillion than the 1200C stocker
Sits an inch or so down & back compared to the stocker
a little narrower in front.
The stitching is good quality and has binding at the angled seam. This does not have the rounded back edge like the stocker. You will not feel like you are sliding off the back of your seat no matter how much twist you put on the throttle
Cons:
very firm foam does not absorb as much of theengine/road vibes, coupled with the form-fitting saddle and the polymerpan sitting on the frame(does have a thincarpet pad under) seems to transfer significantly more vibration to my a$$ than the Mustang.
Does require some time to break in as the seat forms to you - much like the Corbin
I got the Mustang because I like the solo look & have noticed it absorbs much more vibration - probably due to the rubber feet it sits on.
I have not sold mine because I will probably wind up using it most of the time since my rides are mostly <1hr
