I get those remarks to from mostly non-riders. I ride a softail and nightster. The nightster's is way faster and fun to ride.

I have ridden triumphs most of my life and am going to gey a sportster in june, this guys opinion makes every bike under 1200cc a girl bike I guess. Is all I can say to a stupid statement like that is "you don't know what your even talking about".

 

The negative comments made about ones ride is ignorant and uneducated. This guy needs to get a clue.

i love my 883 sporty ,i get peeps telling me all the time to get a real harley mostly off peeps who hardly ride thier bikes ,i ride whenever i get the chance they just dont know a good bike when they see one

 

the new Sporsters with the rubber mount motors are so much better than the old ones. Who cares what you ride as long as you enjoy it, and you are RIDING

It does amaze me at times the stupid, ignorant things people will say. To hear that a fellow Harley owner would trash talk another Harley owner's bike ... well, it's just unbelieveable.

One thing I like here on this forum is that for the most part, even people that ride other "bigger" models have respect for the Sportsters.

And also, even though there IS some trashing of, let's say, ricers ... the other thing that comes across is that again, most people here agree that when it comes right down to it seriously, the important thing is that you're RIDING ... It doesn't matter what.

 

Just don't let it bother ya, I've seen way too much of this lately. I just can't understand why everyone thinks the only bike out there is they one they ride. The sportster is an excellent bike and there are times that I miss mine. In my opinion the sporty with a good set of pipes makes a better note then the big twins do. I just switched to a bagger because of the miles I was riding and needing more space to pack things.
