I'm out in Greensboro, NC working at a trade show representing the place I work. Well I'm talking to a guy about bike week in Myrtle Beach and he tells me he has a heritage softail and I said that's cool, I've got a sportster 1200 custom. and he kind of smiles and says well I hate to tell you but you don't have much of a bike. I said I have to disagree with you my bike is a ton of fun to ride, then he walks off.... I just laughed...

I have said it before, and I'll say it again... Anyone who says a Sporty is a girls/starter bike has never ridden one.

 

I love my "Entry level, Girl bike, half a harley". He probably made fun of your bike because he is a weekend warrior. It doesn't matter what you ride...just ride.

You should have offered to race him for pinks. Softails are slow as hell.

 

He's probably never riden a Sportster, so he doesn't know what he's talking about. Which is OK. Don't like a$$ holes riding Sportsters....gives 'em a bad name.

I had a guy I use to work with who always gave mea hard time about my bike since he had a Road King. Finally I put him on it one day to shut him up, now he has a Sporty as well!
