I haven't heard of one. Last year I did get on the HD web site and went to the maintenace section just looking around. If I could tell you exactly what I did it would help. But I found an area where you could put in you bike info and look for recalls. Hope this helps.

The 06 recall is on the back exhaust pipe apparently setting passengers' pants on fire and they put another shield on it to keep that from happening....just call your dealership and they can run your VIN number and they'll tell you if it's covered by the recall.

Yes it was on the 2006. I had it done,I can't tell the difference by looking at the pipes but the bike seems to feel hotter on the legs. If I had known I wouldn't have had the recall done.

That sounds like a hot item...
I wonder if it was just a shield change, for the others not on recall, or some other kind of adjustment?

Mine's an '07, and it had the same recall. Just a shield is all. Doesn't take long. Makes me wonder what difference in pipes from '05 and olderto the '06 and '07 models. Late '07 and all '08 models come with the shield from the factory as far as I'm aware.

I haven't tried this yet because I don't have my VIN handy, but here's the link to the Service Check-Up on HD.com.
