Can you adjust the primary chain alignment on sportsters with spacers. I know you can on big twin but wasnt sure if XL was the same. My primary seems to be whinning and the chain tension is set at 1/2"cold. Also, could the chain become misaligned over time?

 

If your primary chain makes whinning sound, most likely it is too tight, I recommend doing adjustment while the engine is hot, that's how I do mine, works every time.
