Kuryakyn Hypercharger high idle??

Kuryakyn Hypercharger high idle??
I had my local HD shop install a Hypercharger on my '96 883 and it looks and runs great BUT the idle is higher than before. I miss the old thump thum thump idle it had before. Does anybody know if the higher idle is necessary for the Hypercharger or should it be able to 
be turned down?
