Default Removable sissybar AND saddlebags. Possible?

I'd like detachable saddlebags but I have a detachable sissy bar already. Is there any way to have both be detachable?

Anyone? I'd really like to be able to carry stuff and still have a sleek looking bike.

yes, it's possible. LeatherPros, Boss Bags (I think they are the same), and Leatherlyke bags. These all require a signal relocation kit. Throwover bags would also work. Just remove the seat and then the bags. Fairly simple. I also think Ghost Mounts offers something for detachable sideplates on a Sporty.

Usually, those two don't go together because of the mounting points. It can be done but you need to machine some parts and custom make others, I've done it and it wasn't fun.

I have the LeatherPros bags and the HD removable backrest. I did a ton of research before buying. the LP bags are wicked spendy, but I can't stress how happy I am with them and the way they look on my bike. Here's some pictures. I'd embed these, but that doesn't appear to be working now

In the last pic, you can see how close to the bike the bags hug. This was a big selling point for me since I didn't care for how far other bags stuck out when mounted with GhostBrackets or the EZ-Brackets.

Looks super clean demercer, and thanks Teek for the LeatherPros link. I have an 02', and the bag/support/turn sig. relo-kit/sissy bar side plate fiasco is confusing and can add up to a lot of dough. looks like the turn signal-license plate option will work after all, and really simplifys everything.

&nbsp\\;"...Although Harley Davidson says that this kit will only work on 04 and newer bikes, it will work on 93-03 models..."
&nbsp\\;
thanks guys.

Yep, the chrome laydown plate / turn signal relo kit is pretty simple to do, just need to drill an extra hole in the fender if you're riding a pre-04 model. A word of advice if you DIY: Rather than mess with the electrical connectors, cut the wires a couple inches from the large black connectors (the ones that plug into the brake lamp assembly) and get yourself some butt splices from the local hardware store. Most of them come with heat-shrink tubing already on them, you just crimp the wires in, heat the tube, and you're back to 100% waterproof connections without having to mess with those proprietary connectors or buy tools to do it.
