New guy with my 883 Sleeper
My sweet little HD 883 Sportster or so it would appear.
1998 Harley Davidson Sportster.
Buell 1200 cylinders
Buell 10:1 pistons
Buell Thunderstorm Heads
Screamin Eagle Cams, ignition, coil, and jet kit.
Vance &\\; Hines 2 into 1 Propipe,
Progressive 11 1/2 inch rear shocks
80 HP in a sleeper package, now I just have to learn to control it. \\;I was thinking it was pretty clean until going through the forum and all the bike you have...I have some work to do.  \\;Future plans are to relocate the front T/S to the forks. Move the rear T/S to the shock tower using V-Rod parts. Lose the saddle bag frame all together. Hopeful add a front Lace Rim and figure out how to turn the rear black.  \\;Next I have to get it registered get a M/C license but I can still be working on it and that means more time to polish. \\;

RE: New guy with my 883 Sleeper
Thanks, as for location....Just North of SLC, UT for the time being...soon to be Idaho on the4 Snake River somewhere.
 \\;
Now as for pulling the Sleeper bit off I don't really intend to find out what it will do. If someone where to think it was a Sheeple Bike I would think they were newer than I. The sould would give it away I think to most anyone here.
 \\;
The Vance and Hines pipes are the 1st give away.
 \\;
The guy that had it built was going to AMI and took 3rd place in some 1200 Class Brute HP Dino test. I am sure there are faster but this one is most likely more than I needed.

RE: New guy with my 883 Sleeper
that is ****in nice!!!!
im a fan of the older sporties, and yours stood out with that oil tank and air cleaner.
you need to get a real peanut tank, but so far it looks awesome
look at my sig pic, its a bit of a sleeper too. i love the stock looks of the sporty, but i wanted a big more racing flair so the paintjob is like an old school muscle car. i chose the 88 because the bike is a 1988 sporty.
i would suggest, in addition to the future mods you already listed, a new bright red paintjob, that would look bad ***!, also, you could powder coat your current rims, with that kind of power who knows what will happen to those laced rims. might bend or something, had it happen on some bikes of mine. maybe some drag bars or clip ons and a strictly solo seat. none of that little fastback thing.
its your bike, and your doing a good job with it! i like it so far!
