RE: weight limit
Haha...I was at the local H-D stealership last weekend, sitting outside, when this guy rolls up on a 1200 Sporty...he probably weighed 240-250# or so...but worse, his had-to-be-350# wife was riding bitch...I couldn't believe it. I can't imagine how unwieldy/unstable that bike must have been. Turns out that they rode in to trade the Sporty in on a Road King. [\\] I think they needed to trade it in on TWO Road Kings.

RE: weight limit
On the right side of your frame up by the goose neck \\;there is a decal that tells how much gross weight your bike will carry. \\; I have a '08 XL1200L and the weight is 1000 lbs. \\; Subtract the bikes weight from the gross weight and that is how much you can carry. \\; The bike weighs about 650 lbs so that leaves about 350 lbs for oil, gas and passengers. \\; Gas weight about 6 lbs per gallon. \\; Oil is about 7 lbs per gallon. \\; So you have 27 bs of gas plus 4 pounds of oil, plus you and yours. \\;

RE: weight limit
With no accessories the running weight is around 600 lbs (rounded UP to an even number). The bike will withstand about 400 lbs. with shocks set to the firmest setting. The ride will NOT be enjoyable suspension wise however. So, how much weight are we talking about here?
