I definitely think they look cool, and that is the one reason I think about purchasing one-the new Iron Jaw Leather Blowout vest.
Have you ever been down in denim? I have... it rips to shreds in seconds, not good for preventing road rash. Id rather have a leather vest then a denim jacket anyday... but, if you want full protection, why not a leather jacket?
I like vests for warmer weather, they also fit nicely over a mesh jacket for a lil extra protection in the warmer months.

Ride safe

Don't how close you are to northern Ohio, but this place is a big attraction around here. The guy that owns it is from Pakistan and has everything made to his specs over there. It's nice stuff and low price. Since the HD stuff is made in China, I don't feel that bad about it, and it is well made with heavy leather.

I've owned a lot of leather vests over the years, by just about every manufacturer, and by far the HD Piston 2 vest has held up better than anything else.

Very heavy leather, heavy duty hardware, adjustable leather side lacing, and they just hold up year after year in all weather conditions.

And no, they are not made in China..

Seems the majority of them are made in Mexico (where they know how to make quality leather products) and some, such as the one shown below is made in the USA.

The Made in Mexico and Made in USA Piston 2 vests are identical in every way. The 2 I wear the most, and have club backpatches on them are both made in Mexico. They have taken years of abuse without a wimper....

I wear a Lil' Joe Black Magic denim vest. I don’t wear it for fall protection, just a wind blocker and extra pockets. BTW...made in U.S. and guaranteed for life.
