Default Tire Miles

How many miles do you have on your current tires, and how often do you get new tires?

10, 500 so far. I'm not that hard on 'em, though. Stock Dunlops. Haven't changed tires yet, so I don't know how much longer. they have a little bit of wear but have more miles left on 'em, too.

I average about 12.5 k miles with Dunlops on the Sportster...

Think I got my last set from eastern performance... around $200.00 for the set... thats to the door...

Replaced the rear on my 2007 883R at 10,000, just about to replace the front at 13,000. Interestingly, on my previous sporty, a 2003 883, I had to relace the rear at 7,500 & the front at 10,000, & it isn't that I've slowed down any.

Default XL883 tire mileage

I got about 15000 mi on the original Dunlop. I replaced it with a Dunlop 404 130/90-16 and got a little under 10000 mi. I replaced the 130 with a Dunlop 401 150/80-16 [same as stock]. The original front Dunlop 401 is still on the bike and has 26000 mi. on but will need changing soon.

Dunlop has new D407 series tires for the 09 touring models. They are supposed to have 25% more rear tire tread life than the ones they used before. I just wonder how well they will stick on a lighter bike for hard cornering. Check your newest HogTales magazine for more details.

Just turned over 16k on my rear today and still has some life left. Might get another thousand miles.

I get about 7k on my tires but I drive it like i stole it and this bagger is much heavier so i think it's a little harder on the tire. It definitly gets warmer.

Impressive tire life on some bikes. Lots of factors that play into tires wearing out, but I am hoping the MOCO will continue to improving their tires.
