My wife wants black pipes on her new Nightster. She had V&H Short Shots on her 1200C but they were too loud. Loud pipes are too hard on the ears and the wallet (fines). So we were looking at Black Screamin' Eagles and wrapping the rest in black exhaust tape. They have a Nightster done up like this at the dealer. Looks good but of course we couldn't listen to it so we don't know how it sounds. She wants something between the stock pipes and the Short Shots (that is legal).
