Are you parking on the street or do you you have a driveway or lawn?
I have a gravel drive but no garage. I use a Cycle Shell for my Nightster. Much better than a cover and easier to use. But not something you would use on the street.

I keep my 883C under a carport and have a Nelson-Rigg Falcon Defender 2000 Cover that I use when weather looks bad or if I have to let it sit for more than a couple of days. The only problems is that leafs and other things can be blown up under the cover.

Hey SHTFIT, which size did you get? I would think the Nightster would fit in the sportbike model.

Mr. Dean- it might depend on where you reside. In So Cal, all we really need is a simple cover. Got mine from a local auto parts store (Pep Boys). Works great. If you're in some weather, something more like the Shell would be best. Better yet, sell the sofa.....

Whatever you do don't settle for a cheap one...you need to get one that will be able to breathe...

Dango: My Cycle Shell is the Cruiser model. According to Cycle Shell, The Sport Bike model is a little too small for Sportsters and doesn't clear the mirrors.
Here are some pics I took after my ride today. I love this thing! Blows away a regular cover. I only use my regular H-D cover in the summer when I park on the street.
