Default drag bar install

I just ordered some JP cycles 32"x1" dimpled and knurled drag bars for my bike. Should be here Tuesday afternoon!!!

For the install, can I just loosen all the controls without completely disassembling them all and slip em on the new bars? Is it really that easy?

Tom, I did just loosen the throttle side and slid it off when I took the brake handle off I put a piece of card board in between the brake lever to hold close a little there is a switch in there that can be damaged if you don't do this you need to get a manuel it tells you this in there.

I forgot I didnt slide the throttle off of the bars I took clutch lever off and grip then the brake lever like I said then loosened the screws on the throttle clamp you don't need to take them off then undo bar clamp remove bars from the risers slide bar out of throttle grip then slide new bar into grip re install everything else.you don't need to remove throttle cables unless your replacing the grip.

thanks guys for the tips. I do have a service manual and I know it will help but sometimes there are shortcuts they don't tell you about which is why I come here

Hope to see pictures of the results guys. The Z bar is the only style I would have on my ride, if I were to exchange. I'm gettn along pretty good with my stock bars for now.
