To high. NADA is the place dealers use, (auto or bike), to evaluate prices on used/trade-ins values. For this, Low price is $6,255, and the high market price is $7,625. Sorry, but tell your friend to put the pot pipe down. Although, you never know, he may be able to find someone out there to over pay for a bike....It's happened before.

 

Way high. Local dealer is advertizing a new 2009 XL1200 for $9,790, and I could probably talk him into accessory discounts or service deals.

You never get your money back on accessories. People prefer to build what THEY want. Usually get better return by putting stock back on (assuming you still have them), then sell the goodies on flea-bay.

I agree with everyone...get the retail value of the bike then go to your bud and see if he reduces the price. If not, there are dealers selling used bikes for great prices loaded with accessories and low miles because alot of people trade in their bikes to trade up.

 

way to high - I picked mine up for $6400 with lots of add-ons and only 3k miles.
