I left it on, kinda like a beer can, it should stay, what's the worse that can happen, it breaks off and falls out.

When I punched mine out, the little pieces of it flew out the back when I started the bike.

Over 1,000 miles on the new mod and it still sounds b. a. d. azz!!! I have noticed the occassional pop if I decelerated with high rpms in the downshift but, under normal shifting conditions, downshifts are pop-free.

Backfires? No.

She roars like a lion and it sounds great. The guys at the cruise-in's ask me what kind of pipes I have on it. I love it.

Somewhere on this forum there is a place for best free mod, this will rank in the upper 10, IMO.

No doubt the Vance and Hines sound "better" IMO but I don't have the money for those and I won't get slip-ons because I'll just be settling.

For a "free mod", this was the way to go for me. To each their own.

I might just do this. and if I have to i will cut out some round sheet metal and cover the hole back up if I choose to trade it in. SHHHHHH! don't tell anybody. (and I don't think I'll trade her in)
