Talking Rear fender

So I have all the parts for a solo seat and rigid struts on my 08 nightster just sitting here waiting to be installed.
I am either going to shorten the rear fender patch the hole and be done with it,
OR... put on a flat fender that hugs the tire, cut the fender mount struts and make the *** end look sweet, and low like some others I have seen on here..

still with me??
I would like to whack those fender mounts...What will this do to my warranty.. I have seen some of you who have done it.. and what did they say to you..? ANY input would be amazing. I PM'd a few and didn't get much help.

Well, that is part of the frame, so your deffinately playing with fire if the frame tweeks or cracks in any way. But I can't see them being able to say much about other issues like electrical/mechanical.

Damn. I'd like to see a 1200n mod with a flat bobber rear fender with the fender struts cut off. Anybody? Pics?

i'd go for cutting the fender struts short, and lower that stock fender.

that's what i did.

but glad you're going solo style! rock on man!
