Yeah I gotta say, I'm a lot more comfy leaned forward some with my legs stretched out on the forwards as well. I've got a friend who's 6'1'' with a '05 883L and with the stock bars and a sundowner seat and he doesn't have any problems. We ended up pushing his stock bars forward though, it helped him out a lot.

thanks, guitarman -- I'm installing the drag bars today and I've got forward controls on order. Hopefully that combination will make a drastic change in my sitting position and comfort level.

I put Buckhorn bars on my 05 883 so I could lean back a bit. The primary reason I got my bob was the seating style.

I've got drag bars and spend most of my time out of the city with my feet on the passenger pegs.
I lean forward enough that at 70 miles an hour the wind makes me pretty much weightless on my arms and can ride all day like that.
I don't think drags and forwards sounds very comfortable bent in half like a banana.

being 6'4'', bent in half like a banana is more comfortable than you'd think. lol I can go 4-600 miles a day like that.

I was thinking something similar about leaning forward and feet out front being an odd position, but I'm going to try the drag bars first and if that is comfortable, then I'm not going to install the forwards.

If none of this works, Ill just tie the kids wagon to the back of my wifes mtn bike, sit in the wagon with my harley helmet and leather jacket on and let her drive me around the neighborhood. That should make all the neighbors think I've finally completely lost my marbles.

Mids and drag bars. Max control, and they work together. Forward controls are for suckers. Forward controls matched with drag bars are for masochists and bar-hoppers.
