Default Amsoil?

Any reason to NOT run amsoil in an 09 1200N?
I've heard other's opinions and it seems that there's a love it or hate it mentality about amsoil. Im due for a change in about 500 miles, and want to run a REALLY good oil.
Thanks

It's expensive. Other than that no. God I love an oil thread, you always learn something once the real wrenches start to chime in.

I went from Syn3 to Mobil 1 V-Twin to Amsoil. Bottom line is out of the 3 Amsoil runs cooler and quieter. Nothing wrong with the Mobil 1, but I'd stay away from Syn3. 20,000 miles on my '08, so I am confident in my recommendation.

Amsoil cost a little more whoopee doo.. Seen some save 3.00 on oil and then go buy 3,000.00 worth of chrome You decide which is more precious to your engine ... Been Using Amsoil for 10 years and not switching a proven winner to save a few pennies...

You Bet.

I run Amsoil in everything..car, atv and now bike..even the new 4 stroke wipper snipper gets it. Ok so her 85 nighthawk dosen't get it

09NightsterVB, im running it in there too.

do your own homework (like your doing now) and buy what you can afford.

Why do you recommend to stay away from Syn3 ?

They say it isn't as good as Mobil or Amsoil and that it breaks down sooner than it should. I don't know I am not an oil expert but I would run it.
