I need a better seat
My seat on my 2002 1200 is uncomfortable alittle for me on long trips and really uncomfortable for the ladies on the back of it. im trying to find a seat similar but with more padding. I checked in to getting it gelled but the guy told me that the back portion wouldnt matter cuz its so narrow. So if anyone can give me there 2 cents on a good seat for a desent price let me know please.
Oh yeah this is a pic of my seat. Thanks again

RE: I need a better seat
I was going to buy the sundowner, but the reason I didn't was that the driver portion of the seat tended to make me feel like it was pushing me forward. Ended up getting a Mustang Seat. If you can live with the pushing forward part then the Sundowner is a VERY good seat from what I've heard and read. I agree on taking it on and off as needed. Very easy switch... 30 seconds.

RE: I need a better seat
I've heard good things about the Mustang and the HD Sundowner seats..
I actually like the stock seat that came on my 1200C, but then again, I don't ride "2-up" other than to give short little rides on the back from time to time.
Not sure how comfortable someone would be on the back on a long haul.

RE: I need a better seat
I liked my stock 2 up seat until I rode about 100 miles one day then I knew I needed a different seat. I got the Mustang vintage 2 piece seat. I only ride solo so the solo seat is on it all the time. I did buy the passenger seat also just in case my wife ever gets brave enough to ride with me.
The Mustang seat made a big difference not only in comfort but in great looks also. I would recommend them.

RE: I need a better seat
After the first 2 hour ride on our new 06 XL Custom, the wife theaten not to ride again till I changed out the stock seat. I went out the next day and got the HD Pillow Look touring seat (and matching backrest pad for the sissy bar) and now she's happy! It's about $70 less than the HD Sundowner and so far, its working out great and looks good too.
