Yep, buy another one. I've had the same problem, I've got several laying around, just switched and rtattle stopped. They're pretty cheap.

I didn't like the look of the stock gas cat sticking up so high above the tank, so I bought an H-D flush mounting gas cap.

The HD caps work well. The outter ring is stuck to the tank unlike the 3rd party ones I have read about. I have seen a couple of post on the 3rd party ones not popping up.
