Default Front Brake Lines

My front brake lines rattle aganst the back of my head light housing, how can I stop this. It took me awhile to figure out what was making this clicking noise and I just realized it yesterday. Help it's driving me nuts having to listen to it all the time. You can see in the pic how close the lines are to the back of my head light.

You could put a little length of sticky backed foam insulation (weatherstriping) on the cables where they touch the light housing or a small zip tie to tie them to the fork away from the light, you can very small zip ties in chrome so it will hardly show.

Whatever you do, don't pull the zip tie tight on the forks or it will cause a bind in your throttle cables when you steer lock to lock.

Mister if you can hear that, then you need louder exhaust. I bet you are running stock pipes, huh?

Nope, I run Vance&Hines Straight Shot Slip ons. I guess I just have excellent hearing. I moved that little clip thing down the cable a little ways and it doesn't hit the head light as much now.

Hey, you know that little ring clamp that holds the brake hose? It's on the right rear of the upper tree if you are sitting on the bike......See if you can attach something there that you can use to lift the cables a few inches away from the headlight.

You could try putting some rubber vacuum hose around the cables.Won't look as clean but the rubber would stop the noise.Probably wouldn't look any worse than cable ties on your bike.I doubt that is what your hearing though. My wife had a rattle on hers and I think the headlight was loose even though at night it worked properly.I would check for something being loose. The cables are routed correctly I just checked both of our bikes.Hers is an 02 and mine an 06.Ours are not customs though.I have a Low and hers is the standard.Might try routing the cables outside the fork tubes?Hell a little electrical tape around the cables where they hit the light may work.

I'm gonna give her a good bath and waxing tomorrow and I'm gonna go over her and check all nuts and bolts on everything. I'm purty sure its those cables though.
