I asked the same question a little while ago (I also have a 883C).

Here is the anwer that I got:

at 50 i am about 2800
at 60 i am a little over 3000
at 70 3500
and at 80 i get to about 4000

I don't make a habit of riding the wifes 883 but the 4-5 times I've ridden it in the last 3 summers the above sounds about right to me, I asked her and she says she didn't know cuz she never really looks at it.
