Thanks for the video Josh.
Man am I glad there are no noise police over here in Cow Town !

I have 2'' drag pipes on my 2000 1200 a little over stage one,the rev sound is not that much different than yours. Its intersting to me how a Rider could be distracted by the sound of a clean running Harley its all behind you anyway. Ear Plugs ?? just cant see that.

Thanks again for the insite. JonMon www.deckmastersllc.com

OH Geez....I just placed an order for V&H Side Shots and now I'm a bit nervous about the "loudness" of the exhaust.

I currently have Screamin Eagle Exhaust tips on my bike and unfortunately they aren't loud enough for me...

Although I must admit, I like the thought of setting off car alarms when I drive by them...but mostly, I want others to know I'm nearby! LOL

I think my short shots sound great. They are loud but the stock pipes were just not cutting it.

+1 on above,
I have the Shortshots on my Dyna and they were loud/annoying but after installing quiet baffels it was OK for me, I also put quiet baffels in the V&H True Duals on my SoftTail with same results.
So will they work for you? Only your ears can tell you that.

Quiet baffles didn't make much of a difference on my shortshots, but made a real big difference on my blackout 2-into-1s. Hope that helps.

the stock pipes on my 2005 883 with the stock baffles in them ... right on the pipes is stamped from the factory 80 DBH .. so I am staying with the stocks ... I have neighbors at the apartment who really will not want to hear me leaving for work at 7 am in the morning ... I am sure I would be asked to leave the apartment if I rean pipes like you guys ... and I can tell you I dont' really want to listen to anotehr guys pipes at 2 AM when I am sleeping either more than a 1/2 miles away and yes our local town got tired of that &&*^* also so are not ticketing $250 for loud exhausts

The stock pipe 2-into-1 that came with my 2003 883r was really quiet. At first I bought th exact muffler and bored it out.. Still to quiet. I had to go with 2-into-2 V&H straightshots to get that "TRUE" harley sound. I've never heard a 2-into-1 system on a Harley that sounds good to me
