Default changing from foward to mid controls

Here is a photo of my wife's new 2003 model 1200 sportster ride. With the help of a friend we bought it sight unseen from 1300 miles away. It is stunning with less than 200 miles on it but with my wife's short legs it would be easier for her to learn to ride if it had mid controls.

We are interested in buying a set of mid controls but we are not intersted in selling or trading these.

Question #1 does anyone have a set that will fit?
Question #2 what year models will interchange with this bike?
Question #3 what is the list of parts that I will need to make the change?

Looks like 1986-2003 are all the same. Here's a link to cheap brand new ones...

You can also just add the mid pegs and leave the forwards on. I did that on my wife's 2003 883C so she could move her feet to a couple of different positions while riding.
I have found the sets I have on EBAY.

have never seen a sporty trike... nice looking bike!! good luck with those controls.
my only thought is to make sure she has ridden it as is for awhile before deciding to go mid - mids are less comfy on longer rides (your legs are cramped under you instead of stretched out_.
if you can do mid and forwards that would prob be a good way to go. i have forwards and they arent forward enough for me for long rides, so i have highway bars on my lindby bar.

Yall aint getting it.

As the bike is set up now she can not reach the brake pedel and grear shifter to safely operate the bike.
Her legs are just too short.

Leg confort has nothing to do with the change.

After the midcontrols are put back I will most likely install a lindy bar with foot pergs on it for a change of leg position.

E-bay is a good source for the mid controls you are looking for. Seen plenty of them there, cheap too. Look for mid controls from about '99 to '03.
BTW, Sweet looking ride.
