Default Guess I won't be doing the poker run

I was relocating the coil/ignition as well as lifting the tank. I got the coil all set up and put the spark plug cables back on. Started the bike up, and...only one cylinder was firing. I assumed it was the cable, so I put my old ones on. Same problem. Then I flipped them, same problem. I swapped the plugs, too. No joy.

All that starting/stopping of the bike drained the battery. I found there was a cable that managed to become disconnected which I can only assume was the problem.

I went looking for my battery charger and remembered that I left it in a friends truck a couple weeks ago after lending it to someone. He's gone for the weekend.

I was supposed to do a poker run tomorrow in support of Breast Cancer Research, but I guess that won't happen.

Walmart has a charger for $30 if you really want to ride. Keep receipt and take it back.

I can't manage it. I have no transportation tonight. The ride starts at 9:30 tomorrow, so there's no time there.

Along the same lines, I'm thinking I can maybe get some booster type cables and have a friend boost me with his bike. I hope that works.

How would I do this? Turn the ignition on, hit the switch, put it in second, get some speed, let the clutch out and hope for the best?

You should have a 'Battery Tender' for your bike for when it isn't being used in winter time.

Jump it with your car. That's what I do.

There's always a way, try jumping it with a car like someone else said or pop start it like was also said. It's a good cause too, I started rocking the pink bandana today in my support of saving the boobies.
