Kick start kits
Hey all,
Recently the electric start on my 88 sportster died on me. I think its a relay issue but I haven't had the time to dig into it yet.
This got me thinking about kick start kits. Anyone ever add a kick start to a newer bike? I love the idea of having a backup to my electric start.
Any thoughts?

Not a bad idea.. It would be nice if you could run both..
be careful don't let the lever hit you in the leg.. it doesn't feel good..

I thought one of the older HD's had both a kicker and electric starter as an option.....For some reason I'm thinking ~'76 or '77ish.

I wasn't aware of that.. humm.. things to think about.. It would be nice in your case or like mine a while back.(about a year ago). when I had to push start my bike.. well more like drag start.. that was fun.. not really

I run one of these which mounts directly on the starter. Turn the key to ON, push the button and away you go.
