Default 50th Ann Sporty

My brothers girlfriend is looking at buying a Sporty. The one she is eyeing right now is from the US and is in great shape. This one is a 1200 white with black accents and has the 50th anniverary logos on the front fender and also the back rest as well as the A/C. Could'nt see one on the tank but it has a protector on the tank in front of the seat. Was the 50th edition available in this colour scheme? Can't seem to find much info on these on the web.
Also it has a rattle in the primary and the clutch has dick all for friction zone. I am guessing the clutch is either dry or needs adjusting. Sorry if I come across as newb material the last time I had anything to do with sporties was a 79 ironhead and they have changed alot since than.

I can tell you this-that is not a XL50. The XL50's only came in black or orange and had a gold logo on each side of the tank. I know this because I have #674 of 2000 made. Ask the seller what number that bike is and I bet they can't tell you. HD sold some add on parts to go alot with the XL50 package and I bet someone put that stuff on a non XL50 bike.

As far as the clutch goes the newer sportys are known to have the spring plate in the clutch pack break-my did, but it did nto make a sound. The primay chain might be loose? I say pass on that bike.

I looked some more into it and I think its a rebadged custom. As to the clutch It might be dry it seems like its either engaged or not, not a lick of inbetween. Brother has a guy he used to work with builds and races Nitro Harleys he's gonna get him to look at it. Thanks for the help.

FWIW, the 50th Anniversary logo means it's a 2007 Sportster. Mine had it on the original seat, "since 1957" = 50th anniversary.

Well if the clutch is dry then there is no fluid in the primaty so I doubt that is the issue. Also the XL50's have the 3.3 peanut tank, it says Sportster since 1957 in gold on the back of the seat, there is a badge on the risers that has the vehicle number, the bike will have a stock tach on it, mid controls upless changed like my bike and a few other do dads i'm forgetting.
