Won't start after removing primary cover
I have an 09 nightster 1200 with about 4,000 miles on it. I just recently noticed that the fitting that holds the clutch cable into the primary cover was broken. I received the parts and replaced it, I had to remove the primary cover to replace it due to the fact that the threaded end was still stuck in the cover. Well I got it all back together and now it won't start. The starter just clicks like it is getting hung up. The battery is charged all the way up. I don't know if their is something that I missed or adjusted incorectly. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Must be coincidental...I'm thinking these issues aren't related. Did you check the battery connections & make sure everything's tight? How did you test the battery to ensure it was charged (meter)? The minor repair to clutch shouldn't affect how bike turns-over so I believe you're not getting enough juice somehow...
