Rollo, do you happen to have any pics with the SparX? Like the look of it and just wondering if it gives the dreaded "mushroom head" look. Almost bought a Bell Drifter until I tried it on, it's frickin huge!
Was actually about to order a Fulmer V2 until saw the link you posted and now I'm curious...

From what I've tried on. All the DOTs are going to put you in the same boat. You can't get the credentialing without meeting certain standards; which all = thickness, which = a fat looking head. Embrace it, afterall, you know what they say about a big helmet size don't you?

The Fulmer V2 I tried on wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. It was the "Captain America" Easy Rider model, was looking for one of the flake ones which is what I was going to order. I've been trying to find a shop that carries Bell 500 Customs around here but everyone I find on the Bell Dealer locator says they haven't had them for years...Too bad cuz I really dig the Orange Flake and Speed Soul editions. Just curious if the SparX is about the same as the Fulmer or not. I normally wear a half helmet but looking for something that's a bit warmer in the fall/winter and doesn't lift as much at highway speeds.

Found this on the Biltwell Site, pic comparing the Fulmer, Bell 500, Biltwell DOT and Novelty helmets.

I'm out of town right now.... so I can't post a pic of the helmet on. From what I can tell... it's very similar in size to the Bell 500s. The Fulmers appear to be smaller. The local shop here carries all 3 (vullmer, bell and sparx). I hope this helps.
