I have the fuelpak and have had my bike worked on under warranty multiple times, including motor work. The only reason the Fuelpak is inferior to other tuners is the fact that it can not be fine tuned by anyone except V&H. You have to use their can maps. I have had my bike on the dyno with the Fuelpak can map tune (just to see what kind of power it made) and the air fuel ratios were excellent across the board and it put down 79HP/78TQ which is just as good as any other tuner out there. For people that want plug and play and that is it, I would say it is just as good as any other tuner out there. It might not be great for someone that wants to build the motor or get a custom built exhaust as there will not be maps available.

Your warranty is still in effect, depending on your dealer. Some will say that it voids the warranty, but most will honor it, anyway. I would put more thought into your choice of programmers, though. There are many options, and most of them are better than the FuelPak.
According to the Magnuson-Moss Act of 1975, a manufacturer or it's distributors cannot deny a warranty claim for any reason without proof that the modifications were the actual cause of the failure, i.e. if you have nitrous and the vehicle has holes in the pistons because of it, they can deny the warranty. If you install an aluminum driveshaft and the vehicle suffers an unrelated blown head gasket, they have to honor the warranty. IF they try to pull that crap, tell them about the MM act and demand to see proof that such modifications caused the damage.
