883 Superlow Heel toe Shifter
#32
anyway i try to enclose some pic showing my two approaches to realize the heel toe shifter, the first one with the long screw has the inconvenient that the heel lever could rotate downward under the heel pressure and its very difficult to lock it in position also by the additional locking grain that i have added.
The second solution with the spline shaft in my opinion is better and in any case allows to reset the heel lever position easily;
I have finished to prepare this arrangement last week and i have not jet installed it on my bike and tested it on the road so at the present it remains "theoretically" better, i will refer after the running test.

I assume that you have a forward controls installed (my solution refers to this arrangement) while if you have the mid controls it became more difficult to be arranged but nothing is impossible;

Those pics were posted in 2012 so it's possible that he's sold the Sportster and is no longer a member of the forum.
There are toe and heel shifters available on eBay, Amazon and AliExpress. The one below is an example of one from AliExpress for mid set controls, there are also others for forward controls. The prices start at around $35 US.

I will agree that hell/toe shifters are mainly designed for Floorboards, or at least it makes them easier to use. But you can also get floorboards for a sportster. A wide variety of brands make them like drag specialties, Kuryakyn, Thrashin Supply, Emgo ETC.
