Looks wise I think it's fine as long as they stick with the 3.3 gallon peanut tank, I dont like the look of the bigger tanks on a 48 though.
Exactly.

I hated the look of the stock tank. I was getting the whole thing painted anyways. I grabbed a 3.3 so I have a little more range to keep up with the baggers.

I'm going to PURPOSELY buy that decal and put it on my bike to **** everyone off.

I don't have one single complaint about the 48 tank, whatsoever.

If it was just the decal that made people change the tank, why spend the money on buying a new tank? What a stupid reason to buy a new tank, just paint it. The only reason to change the tank for a bigger one, is to have a bigger one.

Unless you find a Nightster guy that wants the peanutte tank off a Forty Eight and is willing to swap for free.

I hated the limited range that the small tank gave me.

I changed alot of thinngs on my 48 but I wont take of the peanut tank. It makes the bike imo. First 7 days I owned this bike I put over 2000 miles on it and the 2.1 tank was not a problem at all.

I've got a 48, I agree about the tank graphics and my tank is being re-painted at the moment for that very reason, but there's no way I'd change it for a bigger tank, if practicality was my main concern I'd have bought a different bike!
